What on earth do a bear, ruby slippers and dark chocolate have in common?
Sarah Pullman, a young artist, brought in one of her art pieces. Her mom really loved this one and it was going to be framed as a gift for Mother’s Day.
To my surprise, when Sarah picked up the piece she exclaimed “Oh my goodness! Now it really looks like a piece of art.”
The artwork is just like Dorothy’s ruby shoes in the Wizard of Oz.
Near the end of the movie, Glinda the Good Witch Glinda steps out of the ball of light and kindly tells Dorothy that she has always had the power to go home with the magical power of her ruby slippers, but she had to discover it for herself.
(You can never haven enough shoes, right? Hard to deny the power of great looking pair!)
So Sarah, your artwork always had the power, you just needed a little help (a textured suede mat with black v-groove & rustic frame) to make you recognize your extraordinary talent.
Now as far as the chocolate is concerned, it’s just like framing. The right framing has the power enhance artwork into something more than you thought. And a little bit of chocolate, it also has the power to help put things into perspective!
A bear, ruby slippers and dark chocolate:
Dorothy: Oh, will you help me? Can you help me?
Glinda: You don’t need to be helped any longer. You’ve always had the power to go back to Kansas.
Dorothy: I have?
Scarecrow: Then why didn’t you tell her before?
Glinda: Because she wouldn’t have believed me. She had to learn it for herself.
Is there artwork in your home that has undiscovered power?
