So I stepped on the scale again this morning.
It had been a month. I should not have been surprised.
I’m still working on getting rid of that extra 10 pounds I wanted to shed a year ago. Unfortunately, I now have, you guessed it, 15 pounds to lose!
I eat healthy enough. Like right now. I am having raspberries.
Ok, I’ve added a chunk or two of 85% Lindt dark chocolate. But dark chocolate is healthy too, right?
So you can see why my confusion about not losing weight.
Plan B will have to be prayer.
Which reminds me of the prayer wheel I recently framed for Eric. He had purchased the artwork on a recent trip to Nepal where he hiked up to Everest Base Camp.
We could have gone crazy and did some decorative matting (check out my online store for that) but in this case it was not the best treatment.
As it was, the thin white hand drawn line surrounding the prayer wheel was very distracting to the eye.
Like prayer, the framing did not need to be more complicated than needed.
By using an inward sloping frame and covering up the white line with a gold and a black mat, we were able to focus attention on the beauty, the flow and the power of the mantra inside.
(And I just love this new black with wood side and lip frame.
It has a very modern and natural vibe)
“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.” Buddha
Maybe it is time to stop thinking chocolate and think more raspberry.
Thanks for the reminder Eric.
